DREAM THEATER - The Number Of The Beast

Une voix familière résonne dans le théâtre de la Mutualité … " Woe to you of earth and see for the devil sent the Beast with wrath because He knows the time is short"… Eh oui, après Master Of Puppets, Dream Theater rend homage ce soir à Iron Maiden, en reprenant en intégralité The Number Of The Beast. Pourtant, les spéculations avaient été très nombreuses à ce sujet puisqu'on annonçait Rush, Queensryche, Pink Floyd ou encore Marillion. Mais Dream Theater a choisi Maiden et bien lui en a pris, dans cette interprétation pour le moins parfaite et fidèle de The Number Of The Beast (citons entre autres " Children Of The Damned " et " Run To The Hills "), le groupe nous a gratifié d'une version exceptionnelle de " Gangland ", dans un trip piano-jazz-cocktail du meilleur effet. Tout ceci est bien vite passé, mais il est vrai qu'à l'époque, les albums sortaient sur des vinyls et duraient rarement plus d'une heure.
